| The album presents Warsaw’s most important parks and green spaces. There are historical places like the Łazienki Royal Gardens, the Saxon Garden and the Wilanów Park and Gardens. There are also newly created spaces; Park Kultury na Bielanach (the Cultural Park in the Bielany district) and the Centralny Park Kultury (Central Cultural Park), now the Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park. The book, which is entirely black-and-white, depicts not only the eponymous greenery, but also historical sites, street furniture and people enjoying their free time. |

| Henryk Lisowski was born in 1905 and he died in Warsaw in 1977. A photojournalist and photographer, he was an active member of the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers) from 1951 onwards. His contributions to the work of the union including sitting on the committee which made the decisions about the works selected for photography almanacs. He was not only the author of the photographs which were published in three albums, “Warszawa” (1959), “Żelazowa Wola: Miejsce urodzenia Fryderyka Chopina” (Fryderyk Chopin’s Birthplace; 1955) and “Zieleń Warszawy” (The Green Spaces of Warsaw; 1956), but he created the layout, as well. His work was also published in “Fotografia” (Photography) magazine. |

Henryk Lisowski (ur. 1905 – zm. 1977, Warszawa) – fotoreporter i fotografik. Od 1951 roku aktywny członek ZPAF, gdzie zasiadał m.in. w komisjach decydujących o doborze prac publikowanych w almanachach fotograficznych. Autor zdjęć i opracowania graficznego albumów: „Zieleń Warszawy” (1956), „Żelazowa Wola” (1955) i „Warszawa” (1959). Publikował też na łamach „Fotografii”. |
