They depict the ‘Tri-city’ conurbation of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia, showing not only the most recognisable historical sites in general and in detail, but also shots taken using modern methods and showing residential estates, genre scenes portraying three cities pulsing with life, the beach and Sopot Pier. |

Album zawiera głównie czarno-białe, ale i barwne, fotografie Trójmiasta – Gdańska, Sopotu i Gdyni. Ukazuje zarówno najbardziej rozpoznawalne zabytki i ich detale, jak i fotografowane w nowoczesny sposób osiedla mieszkaniowe, sceny rodzajowe pokazujące tętniące życiem miasto, ale i plażę, czy sopockie molo. |

| Edmund Kupiecki was born in Mińsk Litewski/Mińsk in 1917 and he died in Warsaw in 2002. Architecture photographer, member of the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers). He worked in the photographic studio owned and run by pioneering photographer Jan Bułhak in Vilnius and documented the funeral of Marshal Józef Piłsudski when he was buried there in 1939. The post-war repatriations and resettlements brought him to Warsaw, which he made his home. Between 1948 and 1958, he collaborated with a weekly magazine, “Stolica” (Capital City). |

Edmund Kupiecki (ur. 1917 w Mińsku Litewskim, zm. 2002 w Warszawie), członek ZPAF. Praktykował w wileńskiej firmie fotograficznej Jana Bułhaka. Dokumentował pogrzeb serca Marszałka Piłsudskiego w Wilnie w 1936. Po wysiedleniu zamieszkał w Warszawie. W latach 1948-1958 współpracował z tygodnikiem “Stolica”. |
