| The album is Strumiłło’s own encapsulation of the four journeys he made to Nepal in the nineteen seventies. It brings together travel, historical-cum-artistic and religious themes in a subjective story illustrated not only with colour and black-and-white, documentary and reportage photographs, but also with rasterisations created on their basis. The majority are devoted to the culture of Buddhism. |

Autorski album Strumiłły będący summą czterech podróży artysty do Nepalu w latach 1970. Książka łączy wątki krajoznawcze, historyczno-artystyczne i religijne w formie subiektywnej opowieści ilustrowanej barwnymi i czarno-białymi fotografiami oraz wykonanymi na ich podstawie grafizacjami. Zdjęcia dokumentalno-reporterskie, poświęcone w większości kulturze buddyzmu.

| Andzrej Strumiłło was born in Vilnius in 1927 and he died in the eastern Polish town of Suwałki in 2020. A painter, graphic artist, drawer, poet and set designer, he was also involved with photography; he was a member of the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers) and the author of numerous books and albums. Strumiłło was a traveller and collector. As an expert on Asian art, he was also a member of the council of the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw. He studied under a distinguished painter, Władysław Strzemiński, at what was then the State Higher School of Visual Arts, now the Academy of Fine Arts, in the central Polish city of Łódź, and then at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1950. |

Andrzej Strumiłło (ur. 1927, Wilno [Vilnius] – zm. 2020, Suwałki) – artysta malarz, grafik i rysownik, poeta, scenograf, zajmował się rownież fotografią, był członkiem ZPAF, autorem i projektantem wielu książek i albumów. Podróżnik, kolekcjoner i znawca sztuki azjatyckiej, wieloletni członek Rady Muzeum Azji i Pacyfiku w Warszawie. Studiował u Władysława Strzemińskiego w PWSSP w Łodzi, a następnie na ASP w Krakowie (dyplom w 1950 roku). |
