Melchior Wańkowicz, ‘Sztafeta’ (1939)

Stefan Plater-Zyberk was born in the small town of Kurtuvėnai in north-west Lithuania in 1891 and he died in Auschwitz-Birkenhau in 1943. A photographer and documentarian, he was a devotee of 35 mm techniques and an active participant in photographic exhibitions. He graduated in architecture from the Riga Polytechnical Institute, now Riga Technical University, and from the Warsaw School of Fine Arts, now the Academy of Fine Arts. He joined Fotoclub Polski (the Polish Photoclub) in 1931 and established his own agency, PHOTO-PLAT, which specialised in modern documentary, industrial and architectural photography and also published photographic postcards.

Antoni Marian Wieczorek was born in the Tatra mountain town of Zakopane in 1898 and he died in Krakow in 1940. One of the precursors of 35 mm, fine art photography in Poland, he specialised in landscape and industrial photography and in photojournalism and is known primarily for his dynamically framed landscapes of the Tatra Mountains. He became a member of Fotoklub Polski (the Polish Photoclub) in 1937.

Stefan Plater-Zyberk (ur. 1891, Kurtowiany [Kurtuvėnai, Litwa] – zm. 1943, Auschwitz-Birkenau) – fotograf dokumentalista i fotografik, zwolennik techniki małoobrazkowej, aktywny uczestnik wystaw fotograficznych. Absolwent architektury na Politechnice Ryskiej i Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie, od 1931 roku członek Fotoklubu Polskiego. Założył własną agencję fotograficzną PHOTO-PLAT, która specjalizowała się w nowoczesnej fotografii dokumentalnej, industrialnej i architektonicznej, wydawała również pocztówki fotograficzne.

Antoni Marian Wieczorek (ur. 1898, Zakopane – zm. 1940, Kraków) – fotograf, jeden z prekursorów artystycznej fotografii małoobrazkowej w Polsce. Specjalizował się w fotografii krajoznawczej, reporterskiej i przemysłowej, znany przede wszystkim z dynamicznie kadrowanych krajobrazów tatrzańskich. Od 1937 roku członek Fotoklubu Polskiego.
