Mirosław Bałka has been regularly exhibiting at Galeria Labirynt for the last 30 years. Usually his works were located in the characteristic two-level space of Galeria Labirynt 2. The artist’s first exhibition in Lublin was “Rzeka”. It became an important moment in his work, as it announced a departure from the human figure. It was also the first site-specific exhibition in this space. The exhibition presented at Galeria Labirynt 2 refers to the implementation of “River” from 1989. Since then, the artist has regularly exhibited in the very space: “Hygiene” (1998), “du contrat social” (2006), “bes-sennosh-ch” (2012).
