In the main, they portray tarpans and Arab horses from the Janów Podlaski stud farm in east-central Poland. The book is rounded off with a sequence of photos devoted to equestrianism and depicting horses during displays and sports competitions. |

| Zofia Raczkowska was born in Warsaw in 1932 and she died in 2013. A photojournalist and fine arts photographer for whom animals were her main theme, she is known primarily for her shots of horses and was also a horsewoman. She created exhibitions and several albums devoted to the subject, with her first publications coming out in the Federal Republic of Germany, or West Germany, as it was commonly known. She joined the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers) in 1988. |

Zofia Raczkowska (ur. 1932, Warszawa – zm. 2013) – fotoreporterka i artystka fotografka specjalizująca się w zdjęciach zwierząt, znana przede wszystkim jako autorka fortografii koni, uprawiała też jeździectwo. Autorka wystaw i kilku albumów fotograficznych poświęconych tej tematyce, pierwsze z nich ukazały się w RFN w latach 1970. Członkini ZPAF od 1988 roku. |
